View Full Version : Morelia Kinghorni
Anyone know about their care and how easy they are to find in the U.S.? Not interested in buying now, but in the future i might look into them. I always hear a lot about the amesthine python but never about the Australian scrub.
Thanks

Not sure about the species, but scrubs do turn up on the fauna classified boards occasionally. Apparently not too difficult to maintain, just not commonly available in general, CB are rare.
Scrubs are around but they have a reputation as being nasty. And big. Those two traits combined keep the market weak. I do like these myself but I would be hesitant to buy one without handling first and seeing the parents.
Yea, i know they are very mean and big, not sure if im ready to deal with that yet.
Being an australisn species, can they even be imported into the US?
No. Australia doesn't allow export. Which is why you never see wild caught on the market. Any Australian species for sale will be captive bred. Assuming that it wasn't collected illegally.

Theyre around from time to time. However of the several I have encountered in person as much as I love Morelia this is one I will never touch. They get pretty large and I have yet to meet one thats not packed with a ton of foul attitude.
