Hello everyone!
Many know of my...'condition'...being a reptiholic is not an easy path, especially when faced with the addiction any time you make a food run for your current collection.
That is exactly what happened to me last Sunday when I made a stop after work to pick up some feeders. I should know better than to look around, but alas...I did. So many lovely things I'd love to take home with me, but I am getting ready to move and told myself no more till after the move. For those who know me...I'm sure you know how incapable I am of keeping my word when reptiles are involved.
I have always been interested in kingsnakes, but my 1st one didn't work out, so I have been hesitant to get another. Well, while in the store I saw they had a new baby...a hypo brooks king. I pulled him out to hold him, which drew a family over who had 3 kids, all with questions. So, being me I talked with them, all the while holding the little brooks. He was very calm the whole time and was easily passed from kid to kid and back to me.
Well...I fell in love and decided I would give kingsnakes another go. Had him sexed to make sure of gender (because I'm just like that) then packed him up and took him home.
I was torn between naming him Ramses or King Tut. Since I couldn't decide, I just settled on Pharaoh lol.
He has already taken 1 meal with me without issue, and is still being a bit shy in his new home, but is still calm when held (only took him out today for pics but have been leaving him alone otherwise)
So, here's my newest addition!
