They are under tremendous stress. All the laws protecting a species are no good if we don't protect their habitat also. This guy was in a very remote area. A lucky sight on any day I feel.

Of course! They are federally protected and just too beautiful where they're found. You can look --but not touch!

I don't think most people appreciate how rare it is to find an indigo. That is one snake I have not found. Lucky man.
