Here are my two newest ones that came in the other week and ate their first meal last night:D I really didn't need a pair but I couldn't decide on just one...and since they stay so small I didn't see how it could hurt to have two of them.

I was looking at feeders last night to order and when the total came up I went wow I have a lot of snakes now don't I:shocked: Haha after so many years just paying for two snakes I forgot how expensive the food orders can get!

They look amazing, It's sometimes nice to admire what evolution has created over millions of years. In the wild they must be invisible.

I'm jealous. Please keep updates on these guys, tarahumaras are so beautiful.

Very nice, I don't see those available very often. Are they as generally mellow as larger species?
How many snakes do you have now? Between you and Logan it seems like there's a new one (or more) turning up weekly.
I have the same idea about just getting one snake, lol. Might as well go for a pair, one more doesn't take up that much space. Besides, if you like the critter then you'll enjoy 2 of them twice as much.

Gorgeous additions, congrats!

The whole "decided to get a pair because I couldn't choose just one" thing is pretty much how it went with me and my new BRBs. Sucks when you can't decide, but at least you get twice the awesome. :P

I'm not sure on their personality quite yet. Their breeder said that they can be pretty huffy as babies but they mellow more as they grow up. I haven't handled these two except for the first couple pictures before I put them in cages. Probably try them tomorrow since they ate Sunday.

I have 19 snakes at the moment. Such an odd number:no: I added 4 during the holiday/birthday. Snakes were the go to for Christmas and birthday presents from the family. They told me to pick within reason and they would buy...my family understands the obsession lol

I'm at 19 too, think we both need 5 more, things are supposed to be cheaper by the dozen... lol. I love your diverse collection of species, I'm hoping to find a woma at the upcoming reptile show at the end of the month. Otherwise I'll probably bring home some sort of colubrid and wait for warmer shipping weather for a woma.
If the new mini-boas are or become comfortable with handling they should be great pets. Are the babies similar size as other boas like BCI's at birth, or tiny things that have to be fed mouse tails or chick legs for a while? From the pics those look to be good-sized babies, but how old are they now?

These guys are June babies just like my sunglow. She is quite a bit bigger than them. I think he just starts them on pinkie mice. My sunglow is eating rat pups right now compared to the mice fuzzies the tarahumaras are on. My sunglow is on a 2 week schedule and I have put the tarahumaras on a 10 day schedule. The breeder recommended feeding every 10-14 days for ones this age. Their schedule as adults seems to be just a little more often than some of the others, every 14-21 days with a 2 month fast during winter.

I got some pictures of the female tarahumara today! Her first time out a little grumpy but she didn't try to bite me and calmed down after a few minutes. The male either didn't eat or regurged. I didn't notice it right away since apparently he was sitting on it when I glanced in to check if he ate the first time. It looked more like a refusal than anything so I'm leaving him alone still and covered the top of his container with a shirt to make it darker. I have the new boas separated from everyone and they are near the birds with him the closest so I think they stressed him out. I'll try again in a few days!

The grumpiness...

Wow those guys look great. Congrats on the new addition. They look pretty similar to my argentines.
