Look’s like a normal Colombian BCI boa to me. However you will not ever really know unless you know the full lineage of the parents and grandparents of this boa. If you can track down the breeder who produced this boa you may find out.

Take care

Thanks Tom, i will look into that then and what would be the best way to sex him/her, i assume probing but never really seen it done on a large snake

If you don't know how, please don't probe. It can cause alot of damage. I suggest finding a local reptile specialty store or a vet and have them sex it for you. Looks to be a bit on the small side, so my guess is male, but no way to tell that for sure onbthe outside.

Dont worry i wouldn't risk damaging the gorgeous ''boy'' haha i will book him an appointment at a reptile vet first thing in the morning.

Sounds good! I take all of mine to my favorite reptile store. It's free for me there and I love hanging out lol.

my girlfriend works at a pet shop but the owners specialize in fish, they constantly have several reptiles for sale but the care they give them is terrible, since she has been there they have had a few reptiles die and all the snakes there have a violent temperament as they never get handled, me and my girlfriend handle them as often as we can but with me working and caring for our own 30+ strong collection of reptiles they dont get much attention.

Daaaang.....yeah..Vet sounds like a good option. Can do a full look over too just to make sure all is good. =)

Make sure you have a reptile vet probe your boa to be safe, and I bet by looking at the tail size and shape it’s a male.

Take care

Wow! That's great news and congrats to you for going the vet route. He looks amazing. Make sure to check all your husbandry aspects for boa constrictors.
