Boo has just sneezed, and bubbles came out. I have heard that after feeding this might happen, but I'm not sure if this is the case. What are signs of RI other than mucous?

Well, first you have to look at your husbandry numbers. All issues with illness should be husbandry checked from the beginning. A occaisional sneeze or cough may be self limiting however the animal needs to be monitored for repeated episodes of the same or additional symptoms. The location of the enclosure as it relates to temperatures has to be double checked also. There are mild RI and complicated RI and everything inbetween. Symptoms can vary depending on severity. Stargazing, sneezing , coughing and or bubbling at the mouth are some symptoms. You can have noisy breathing, inappetance and stringy mucoid secretions at the mouth and or nose or both. Lethargy to increased roaming and stress can all accompany RI. It's a very problematic illness that should be evaluated by a herp vet early on in a suspicious presentation. RI can be very hard to treat effectively and all symptomatic individuals should be quarantined away from the rest of the collection. Hope this helped.

He lives in a 10 gallon tank, 80-85 degrees on the warm side, 75 degrees on the cool side. He gets fed a small fuzzy mouse every 6 days, and he weighs 26 grams.
