Thanks! The platinum is a Chinese beauty snake with possible calico genetics. The female is a hypocalico Chinese beauty.

I found the platinum posted by Zerkle on some of the colubrid groups on facebook. He was actually posted while I was reading group posts and I contacted them saying I would pay right then for him. He was shipped to me pretty much the next day haha. I think it was just luck that I was faster then everyone else in seeing the post and contacting them. The hypocalico was from Larry Keller. He had a bunch but they went really fast when he posted them so they were up maybe a week before they were all gone.

There is an ad up on kingsnake right now for a $1000 group of chinese beauty snakes. I contacted him about the calico but he is selling them as a group right now and I don't have a $1000 to spend on snakes right this second since I bought boas recently and need to order a bunch of feeders.

When people refer to "morphs" am I right in thinking this means a cross breed of two different patterns/ colours? Sorry if I sound really ignorant, I'm learning!

Morphs are basically an anomaly. A visual (usually) genetic trait that causes that animal to look different than one normally would in the wild. The most common morph people are familiar with is albino.
