Great:(

This is the kind of thread that gets me in trouble with my wife when I start telling her that there's a really cool new snake that I'd like to get. With a maximum size of up to four meters long, that is indeed very large colubrid.

Ptyas carinatus are really awesome snakes in my mind, one of if not the largest colubrid, but unfortunately are also very rare.

There is a huge black tailed cribo in the new snakebytes episode that I would love to own. You can find it at the 18:34 time mark. You can see it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1v5XXTM31sw

My favorite large colubrid would definitely be the Eastern Indigo. My second favorite are bull snakes.

Mine would be Eastern Indigo too, but they are soo pricey and big, that it's a dream that won't come true :(

Assuming this isn't your photo and you're not just making a joke, it's a Taiwan or Chinese Beauty Snake, is it not?

I found it on google a few weeks backs, and never really followed through, I just thought it looked rather neat. I had just googled "massive colubrids" saw this pic and saved it.

OK, didn't know if you were joking or not. But yeah, it's a Beauty Snake. They're good-looking snakes.

These are all great large colubrids.

Indigos are awesome in their own respect, but i prefer yellow tail cribos to them. I think im in the minority. Lol

I like yellow tails but I wish they had the face markings and bulk that most of the other drys have.

I admit to having had absolutely no clue what that abbreviation stands for, but Google rescued me from my ignorance. The resemblance did make me chuckle...:)
