Hi all!

I have recently purchased my first snake, a 4-6 month old ball python. Unfortunately the gender is unknown, and because I'm so new I don't know the morph or any of the genes. I believe it's just a regular, but I love him/her. It's temperament is fantastic - it's not even snappy on feeding day and even ate one day after relocation to a new enclosure and was happily exploring on a 2+ hour drive.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I can't find my camera so I just used my phone. Happy to be a part of this forum!

Well, we can't view the pics as of yet. Welcome to the forum. As far as the sex of the python, it will need to be probed or "popped" by someone experienced in the procedure to determine.

hi northernnick welcome! I'm new, too. i have a 1yr old albino ball named macandchz aka kraft. i know he's a male since he was probed by the vet. mine has a great disposition, too and i think it might be because i handle him everyday except after feeding . i've never even heard mine hiss. good luck with your new snake!

Hi all!

The forum didn't allow me to post pictures so I had a local breeder help me identify. It's actually a vibrant black pastel.
