Picked this big guy up from my buddy this past weekend and I love him already, so much personality! He's finishing a shed so don't mind a few flakes here and there, he was tame with the previous owner but I'm taking my time with him and keeping handling to a minimum.
That said onto the pics:

Awesome little beastie :).
Somehow the inquisitiveness comes through in the still photos. Very cool. How old is he?

He's a CB from Steve Angeli but my buddy has had him since then, that said he's about 4-5.

I love varanids and his enclosure was originally going to be for a monitor but I got the opportunity to get him instead and jumped on it.

Wow, awesome addition! Looks like a dinosaur. What's the venom potency of these guys?

The venom potency is high, he is still very much a hot but you won't likely die from a bite but anaphylaxis is possible. Now with that said some of them are very mellow and can be held easily. Mine tolerates being held but he's still got an attitude I have to make sure he knows I'm there by touching his tail and hell turn and hiss then I can pick him up but if he wants he could really ruin my week.

What a cutie. I wish Gila's weren't protected in AZ, but I definitely respectfully understand. Saw around ten of them while out herping last season and every one of them was chill while we watched them hunt.

Yea I love Gila's but have really started to prefer Beaded's just because of their size they get huge!

I definitely wouldn't mind one either if the Hot Laws ever change here.

You can't have beaded's in AZ? I know Gila's are protected but why not a beaded?
