Hello, I've been keeping snakes for about 8 years and i recently bought a hypo boa constrictor at a show that was pretty reasonably priced. I would like to start breeding boas as a hobby and I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the morphs and genetics. :Wow: I am planning on picking up a female to breed with my hypo boa. What morphs should i be looking at to get something cool from that pairing? Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.

Hypo is a dominant trait so basically any female you get with a morph the hypo gene will carry over. Unfortunately he isn't het albino so you couldn't produce sunglows you could make some hypo het albinos and then produce some sunglows from those. I'd recommend motley female and produce some hypo motleys. Motleys are pretty affordable as well

I would suggest trying to find a female with at least one (Co/Incomplete) dominant trait, to get the most visual diversity. If you're also looking to keep breeding, and want to breed genetically more interesting snakes.. The female should also have a recessive trait. The truth is that your male is a just a one gene snake. So any diversity you might want.. Will have to come from the females (Co/Incomplete) Dominant traits.. I'll try to give you an idea of what to look for..
These are the more available/affordable dominant genes.. :Arabesque / Motley / Jungle /Hypo. The female should have at least one if you're opting for some nice visual diversity, obviously Hypo x Hypo will not create much visual diversity, but it is not a bad idea to breed hypo x hypo, Super hypo's are pretty awesome especially combined with other morphs.
If you're looking more to the future, and want little gene bombs that sell a bit easier.. I would also try to get one recessive trait, just to make it more interesting.. Albino, Anery, T+ Albino are more common ones. If the female is one of these morphs, all the babies will be carriers of the morph.. Which makes the offspring more interesting to breed with in the future.
For Example, if you buy a Anery motley female.. Your litter could contain these morphs: Normals, Hypo's, Motleys, Hypo Motleys <- All of these will be 100% Het Anery... The ones who are Hypo's, can be called Het Ghost.. (As Ghost is Hypo Anery) ----This pairing could be step one of breeding your own Ghost Motleys, and if you manage to mix in the Albino gene: you will be working your way up to Moonglow motleys (Motley Anery Albino Hypo)
Just another example, if you buy an Albino Jungle female... Your litter could contain: Normals, Hypo's, Jungles, Hypo Jungles <- All of these will be Het Albino. The ones who are hypo's, can be called Het Sunglows (As Sunglow is Hypo Albino) And the Jungle Hypo's could be called Het Junglow..(As Junglow is Hypo Albino Jungle). This pairing could be step one of breeding your own Junglows, and if you manage to mix in the Albino gene: you will be working your way up to Jungle Moonglows! (Jungle Anery Albino Hypo)...
The more genes your female will have, the biggest shot you will have at breeding the high end combinations with as least litters as possible. Just keep reading about morphs.. Try to find what you like.. If it was me i would combine Hypo with Motley and Anery, because i like Motley ghosts! but truth is, Junglows (Albino Hypo Jungle's) are more popular. So what i am saying is... If you just want a fun litter, find a nice combo of dominant genes.. If you seriously want to breed boa morphs, read up and get a female with most potential.:D I hope this all still makes sense!

Thank you both very much! That helped a lot! I'm leaning towards motleys or anery motleys.

Oh yeah make some hypo motleys het for anery. And then you could produce some ghost motleys
