Decided I was a little late on updated pics of everyone...sooo here they are!
Retic…For the first time in the (almost) year that I’ve had this guy, yesterday he didn’t try to bite me, gape at me, musk me or flee. So exciting!

Ooo, I like the white lip. Not seen one of those before. What sort of size do they max out at?

Nice to see an update, they're all beautiful but your white lip is just absolutely stunning. I'd give my eye teeth to own a snake like that :Wow:

Holy smokes that white lip is gorgeous. What are the like to keep? I was thinking of BRB one or two years down the line but the white lip has really got my attention now!

Thanks Ziggy! I didn't comment on your thread but so are yours!

Thanks! Mine is a 6ft male, unsure of age but shouldn't get but too much larger. Northern (Golden phase) white lips get up to 8' I believe?, while the southern get a bit larger. Accurate info on these guys can be a bit tough to find but I can assure you they're not giants.

Might quite literally give an eye for one of these;) Kidding of course, lol. He's a favorite of mine. You should get one, I don't think it'd be too much of a challenge for you :)

Thank you! Generally speaking, they're a handful. Very pissy, defensive snakes that like to huff and puff. I wouldn't recommend one unless you have experience with other defensive snakes and are prepared to deal with a fast, potentially bitey 6-8 ft snake. They are VERY fast. I got lucky with mine, he's pretty typical white lip in his enclosure, defensive and bitey, but once he's out he's a sweet heart. It is also fairly common behavior with white lips, though. They're also a bit different in the care department, they need it humid and warm. Too wet and cold is bad news, too cold and dry, too hot and dry, ect. You know what I mean. They're sensitive. Also very vocal snakes, many new owners will think they have an RI but these guys are really just loud. Hissy little fellas.

Freshly shed and looking fine if I do say so myself.

Thanks! I couldn't agree more, very calm and inquisitive, great eaters too. A lot of people say they're ugly or plain but I think they're beautiful in their own right.
Snakes are looking really good! And I'm with the crowd here, that white-lip is beautiful! I hadn't been keeping up with how he's doing these days, but he looks to be doing well.

Thanks :) He's still off food, hasn't eaten since November 17th but he's not losing weight, being lethargic and is passing urates and everything else normally so I'm chalking it up to breeding season. He'll be getting switched back to soil soon and getting a heat panel and if that doesn't help then we'll see what happens in the spring.
Ah okay. Well aside from not eating he seems to being doing well. Doesn't seem like you have anything to worry about!
