We all love our reptiles. And not to day that anyone loves theirs less or more than someone else. But you know when it's a big part of your life when you see or buy something rather mundane and your first thought is "I can really use this for my reptiles!". Not just enclosures or tank decore. But maybe it's certain tupperware, or a type of bedding not advertised for reptiles, but that's the FIRST place your head goes when you see it. I'm sure we all have that thing.
This idea came upon me today when I was at walmart to pick something up and I passed a small, square, stainless steal, pedal opebing trashcan on sale. Usually these are pretty expensive so I never really looked at getting one. But I just got a nice paycheck and the first thing Ithought of was "omg! That would be great in my reptile room (aka bedroom) for when I clean tanks!" Followed by a trip down the baby food isle where I got excited that they had my geckos favorite kind also on sale and a few new kinds as well! (I use this as treats only and mix it with their standard pangea food). So now I am excited over a trashcan and babyfood....and both are for my reptiles lol.
So...what is your 'thing'?

Was in Wal-Mart tree other day and went down the Tupperware section and seen stackable Tupperware. I thought how awesome would it be to put some tarantulas in that

I'm a geek-a-tron and collect Pokémon cards. For Christmas, I got one of those tins with several packs in it and a guaranteed Hoopa EX-Card (I'm so sorry if this is just complete nonsense to some people). Well, I thought "This tin would be a perfect warm hide if I just cut a hole in the top." That's exactly what I did, although no one's using it yet.
On top of that, I also got a comforter and I'm storing my snake supplies in the zipped-up plastic bag it came in. I have to store it outside since I'm a clutter bug and I needed to move some stuff into the shed. That protects my electric stuff and wooden things and such from moisture and critters.

Every day.
I've now become a pack rat. If it could be useful for reptile stuff it gets kept/ bought.
I have a collection of junk.
How surprised are you that I'm alive though? That is the real question.

I experienced the exact same thing today :D
I am also always on the lookout for better water bowls.. recently bought a completely new set for my rack, way better than what i had, they can't tip these at all! Not even my T+ nic has managed to tip it yet.

I was at a store and saw some large plastic containers that would be perfect for inverts. They even had a little hatch on the top so you didn't have to take the whole lid off to feed. They were also only $1.50 each. To bad I can't keep inverts.
