I was super shocked today. When i came home i noticed that the underlip of my Woma looked a little bit deformed. Like one scale was protunding. I took her out and hold her head...she didn´t like it but when i opened her mouth it just looked like some substrate got catched between her lip and teeth. I brushed with my finger at it and it "disappeared". Now it looks normal from outside but i´m scared. :(

Is it possible her jaw was out of place and popped back in? That happens somewhat frequently.

Well, firstly, what type of enclosure is she in? What are your husbandry numbers like? Hot spot , warm side , cool side , humidity ? Do you feed live or f/t or both ? Pre-killed? Do you have any suspicion that it might be mites? They usually get underneath a reptiles scales. Mostly, if you are worried, consider making a appointment with a herp vet? Any possibility this is a enclosure related injury?

turns out she did bury alot and some substrate went behind her lip, thats why it looked that way. Its all fine now.
