Hi there

I'm new to snake ownership. My family have had snakes since I was young though! (Cali king's, Ball pythons, Burmese Python and corns) but I recently bought a Apricot pueblan milk snake as my first snake that i'm 100% responsible for! She's 7 months old and a real sweetie. However, I want everything to be perfect for her and I just have a question about feeding.
She's currently on pinkies, and I was wondering if that was enough of a suitable diet for her or do milksnakes need any extra vitamins along with their mice?

Thanks in advance! :3eyes:

Welcome and best wishes DN. Snakes don't need any additional vitamins or supplements with their food. She should do just fine with eating rodents her entire life. You can offer a more diverse diet of mice, rats, chicks, and quail as your snake get older.

Thanks for the reply!
Glad to know I'm not really missing anything! My beardie needed extra calcium in his diet and I didn't realise until after a few days of having him haha.

Congrats on the new addition and welcome to the forums! I have an apricot pueblan myself, though he's a bit older. Your little one will be fine with just rodents. Good luck with her!

Thanks for the replies guys :)
I'll post a picture of her when she comes home. Can I just ask, I know it's difficult to judge a snakes age by its weight/length but she's 7 months now and I was wondering what the typical length/weight is for a milksnake of her age?

Many thanks!
