My baby snow arrived today! My first snake, ever, and they're so cute!! (I have to sex them later, I'm not sure what they are right now and LLLR didn't tell me. .o It's okay tho, I'll go by scales, poor baby needs to settle in first before I bother 'em with all that noise.)
Got tired of being wrapped around their paper, and then decided to climb up the plastic plant near the top of the screen to nest at the very top. XD It's a sliding screen on a metal track tho with metal pins to keep from sliding, I doubt the lil guy can get out, but I'll be keeping watch. ^^
SO CUTE. I can't post a URL or image right now. :\

I think the lil guy burrowed under the substrate for a while. And haha yeah watching everyone else with corns is what ultimately won me over. ^^

PIC DUMP! I got a few more today, the cam on my tablet is godawful and the days here have been rainy and dreary so bad that daylight doesn't help lighting at all. But she was so comfortable and active today. Taking her out for handling is so easy, she never curls up, rattles, or cowers. Just kind of slides on out and I scoop her no problem, which is something I was concerned about. I heard babies can be nippy and agitated. She's just so sweet.
I'm going to pick up some more plastic plants for her since she seems to really like that one in there rather than using her hides. I could deck out the whole bottom with lots of plants for her, and if she gets bigger i can just get taller ones. Can't wait to deck out the terrarium.

Week 4 update with my first snownoodle, and she's doing pretty good. She likes to run when I go to handle her, but no aggression at all shown! Once she's in my hand all she wants to do is explore, getting her still for pictures is so hard! Today was spot-cleaning day, and it's 2 am here, so of course she was active and out and about. I decided to handle her before putting her back to do cleaning since it's been a few days. She very actively goes for food and has no problems digesting!
I realized I hadn't taken any pics in a while so while handling Zach got the camera for a short video to printscreen later in VLC. She just can't sit still for an actual picture. XD Forgive the darkness and crap grain quality compared to her prior pictures, I was more concerned with a growth comparison compared to color (that's barely changed anyway, she's still mostly pink tho her white is starting to come through on her markings). Also it's 2 am here, and I have yellow lighting in my house, so it doesn't make for very good brightness. I seem to notice she's slightly thicker and more durable and less delicate now, and her head's a lil pointier. Just a bit, compared to her rounder piggyface when we first got her home. :3

Was so tired last night. Forgot to mention why there's no light shined on her IN her viv when we took pics. Basically she didn't like the huge space of the 20 gallon yet since she's really little and rarely came out. Since we moved her to a smaller temporary kind of tub IN the 20 gallon with the heat pad and light, she comes out a lot more often to sit on things and explore. .o So I couldn't take pics in the viv for light because her tub was in the way. XD I'll move her into the 20 gallon by itself later after she gets some growth.
Thank you! Yep she's adorable, she likes to explore and run from me, but overall pretty friendly. I really like ball pythons too, it was a hard choice between the two. And lizards. Maybe someday in the future after I get some experience with raising her, I'll see if I can work it in down the line. .D There's a lotta snakes and lizards I like.
I absolutly love corn snakes :) And yours is just soooo cute!!!

At 14 weeks last week (I'm keeping track lol), I now have new pics! These were from a few days ago, not today. Her comparisons to her first pic wherein she was VERY pink is pretty amusing, she's starting to turn REALLY white, and her pink markings are beginning to get tints of yellow now. .D Not to mention she's gained a lil size; she's happily chilling in her viv right now with a fat pinky in her belly. It's fun to watch how she grows! These pics are MUCH better quality, I had decent light at the window, but being winter it's still white-washed from the grey sky. .p
As an update, we moved her back into the 20 gal tank since she started exploring a lot more, and now she likes to peek out occasionally and climb on stuff before going back to sleep! So she's not in a small tub now and I also have better light in her tank for future pics if I can't get good sunlight.

Thanks you guys! >w< I'm really loving this, restraining myself so long to get all the info right and trying out reptiles for the first time is super worth it. Her shyness is the sweetest thing. Right now she seems to be going into shed (her eyes weren't "blue" per se, but her eyes are very very pink and they were very cloudy yesterday) so I won't be able to take pics for a bit. She started hiding a really long time in her log and I got nervous and tugged her out to check on her. She ate her pinky fine though, I'm guessing she has no problem with eating when shedding. Nothing seemed out of place and her milky eyes gave it away, so I let her alone.
Now she's out exploring again and her eyes seem to have cleared. I'm expecting a skin to pop up soon. Too bad I lost her prior skin to compare sizes with. :C I meant to hold onto it for now. Oops.
They look great, just make sure you know what you're doing if you're gonna sex them. :)

OMG my husband nabbed this pic of her when she was chillin in the front. XD She's been hanging out in the open a lil bit and since she was so perfectly close to the glass, he took a ninja-fast shot then dodged away again to not scare her back into her log or under her plants. XD Her big fat pink eye is the best part of this.
