I made a trip out to the local show sunday and picked up a new Pit. She's an albino gopher snake. I normally don't go for the albino stuff preferring the wild look in alot of snakes, but this Applegate strain looks crazy. She looks radioactive hahaha! So far she's been a sweet thing, doesn't mind handling, stays in the open. I love how the pits are a heavy bodied and impressive snake. Here's a few quick shots of her.

I also spied an African house snake (brown) which is a species I've been really interested in. I feel like the off the path colubrids draw me in. They have a fascinating little face and they're quick! Zipped right out of my hands a couple times. I look forward to seeing how this guy grows out as I read they really mellow with age and are ferocious eaters

Really pretty little gopher, though I'm not generally a fan of albino anything either. If I ran across an African house snake at a show I'd probably bring it home too, lol. Easy to care for and don't need a large enclosure, esssentially an African king snake as far as that goes.

I like lots of albino critters. That's a beautiful new Pit Humble. She's going to be amazing adult from the looks of things. The house snake is a beauty too. Congrats on the nice new additions!

Thanks guys! I'm super excited for the gopher, just love Pitouphis. I can't wait to see how their personalities develop.

I've never heard of albino Applegate. I'm not a fan of albino in general but that's pretty awesome. I'd love each to see how those colors turn out as it grows.

Thanks! I can only hope that she turns out half as beautiful as the adult in that picture :D
