Can I feed my snake a turkey neck? If so, should it be cooked or can it be raw? Don't bash me please I'm genuinely curious. Lol.
Sure, and don't cook them. Turkey necks seem to be popular fare among people who keep snake eating species. I've seen a number of threads on various venomous keepers Facebook groups lately about using turkey necks to switch King Cobras from snakes to other prey.

You can also feed other poultry parts like drumsticks, wings. But they're not whole prey so they're lacking in a wide variety of important vitamins and minerals. I wouldn't feed something like that more than once every 20 meals or so... that way around 95% of what the snake is eating meets all its needs.

Its probably only a one time thing. I have a leftover neck and don't want to waste it. I asked in a Facebook group and was bashed and told that I don't know how to take care of my snakes and should get rid of them, lol.

And that is why I don't have a FB. I got bashed and bullied enough in school. Don't need that crap online as an adult....

This thread made me smile in a not-so nostalgic way. I came from a large family and we always had extended family over for Thanksgiving dinner. I was the youngest boy in the family and I always ended up just getting the turkey neck for my turkey dinner while my brothers and sisters got the "good" stuff. I remember my grandmother telling me. "It's the sweetest meat and the best part of the turkey." just trying to get me to eat it without complaining. I offered to swap with my brothers and sisters, but they always deferred with a smirk. I think I was about 9 or 10 before I got any real turkey meat at Thanksgiving dinner. Needless to say, I haven't eaten any turkey neck since then:)

Aww, I feel for you Jim. I'm the oldest of 7. Sometimes it rolls downhill. ;)

These are probably the same jackass's that won't separate their snakes because they will go into mourning and die.

Seems that way. Thankfully a few people stepped up with actual answers without bashing me.
As far as the neck goes, it was offered to my white lip and he wasn't too interested. I'll be switching him to soil soon here and hopefully that'll be a bit better for him.
