Hey guys and gals, short update on the pied X pied clutch. Eggs are doing well and have pearly white appearance. The humidity and temps are both stable and have been throughout. This is day 32 with a projected hatch date of January 7, 2016. Of course that may vary in either direction. No mold , no discoloration or abnormalities noted.

Hey guys, three of the hatchlings emerged from the eggs overnight! Had to cut across the two slits in egg #5. Both # 4 and 5 remain in the egg at this time. Hoping they leave the eggs later today or tomorrow. Today is day 57 and four had already pipped that's why I felt I should cut to help #5 out.

Thanks Sylph, and even though these three are low to medium white pieds they all have the potential to make high white offspring. The other two were still in the egg last night. Haha.
Awesome babies Albert congratulations

TYVM havoc, I appreciate the comment. It's been nerve racking for sure bc you always worry about complications. Thanks again.

Thanks Humble! Glad you find them to your liking, so do I. Yes it feels like a sense of accomplishment. I will be concerned about where they end up bc you can get attached to them. It is a great way to start the year, for sure. Pied # 4 finally made it out of the egg. Here is his pic. Lol

Thanks Jerry, I am glad you like her! She did not want to leave that egg. I am not sure of the sex yet on most of them. Right now they are all on moist paper towels in the hatchling rack. Lol.

Hey guys, #5 decided it was time to drop the egg and hang out with her clutchmates. Definitely the runt of the clutch but really very appealing coloration and patterning. I think she favors her father. Once they all shed out I will do a family photo of all the hatchlings. What a saga!!!! :bouncy:

Thanks riddick! These girls ( all sexed as female up to this point) come from great parents. Sire and the dam are both produced by Garrick Demeyer from Royal Constrictors Designs back in 2012.

I've actually seen that happen with animals. The runt usually grows up to be the largest!

Oh and I shall name one of your babies for you, her name shall be Priscilla, you know the top left one rotfl. I know she isn't mine but I'm naming her anyway lol. j/k :p

Thanks Pog, they are starting to look very nice after 2 meals now. And of course now they are feeling their oats! Little hissing fits and huffing. The sweetheart behavior is rapidly turning into get out my face behavior. Haha. It's actually kind of cute. Once they all have had four meals I will take a group photo.

Thank you EL! They really are a beautiful clutch. The parents are both medium and high white pieds but this offspring had a majority of low to medium white coloration. I think a couple of them seem like they are getting more white especially the runt? Is that possible? I know you can't count on a high white pied producing high white offspring and low white producing medium whites and such but this is strange.
