Hello (sorry haven't posted in a really long time). So basically I have a savannah monitor in an 8x4x4 enclosure with a mix of dirt and sand up to 2 feet of the cage (it's a lot) and I think it is probably time to change the dirt. Does anybody have any idea where I can dump non clean dirt like this?? Thanks! :)

Only thing I can think of would be a garden or local landfill if that isnt an option.

Compost heap? Garden? If you don't have those, make one maybe.

Hi, I would dig a (big) hole and bury it, using the fresh dirt from the hole to put back into the enclosure (pure genius)! :)

Just a word of warning about being careful using animal waste in compost used in gardens used to grow food. This is a good way to spread pathogens. I usually just throw all my reptile refuse into our ornamental garden as the plants do like the boost of nitrogen.
