Hello all! Have a weird story for ya, and hopefully someone can help me solve a problem. I have a friend who is a fellow snake lover, and while doing an estate sale, found a large old snake hide.

Now personally, the idea of such a thing has always made me sad, as i don't like the idea of skinning such a beautiful creature, but that's neither here nor there.

The problem though is that there is a disconnect with the piece in that neither of us can find out what kind of snake it belonged to.

It's roughly 6 feet long, and covered in gorgeous markings. Anyone able to help me identify this beauty? :)

It is an African Rock Python (Python sebae).

Agree with FWK, and as an antique it's pretty cool i suppose.
