And by that I mean they have way too much energy for their own good. :D They are constantly flipping over their water bowls and turning their tubs into swimming pools.
I just took them out for some exercise and they were out for quite some time roaming around and investigating things while I cleaned and ushered them out of bad places (the male was quite fascinated by the garbage can). Once playtime was over with I put them back into their tubs where they both promptly dumped their water bowls. Arg! Newspaper does not grow on trees! No, wait, actually it does, but you get the idea.
By contrast, it is very rare that the heavy and mighty green anacondas ever dump their water. They are surprisingly delicate unlike these bulls in the china shop.

Ugh I know the feeling, my retic and ball python are my messiest snakes, always tipping their water dish and in the case of the bp, slinging hides around. >.> The retic alone goes through a paper towel roll every 1-2 weeks.
I can tell when my retic has either tipped her water dish or peed by the thick condensation build up in her tub. -.- And she pees like 3 times a week. At this point I'd rather her poop 3 times a week. lol Then again, she isn't a poop artist.

Yep, thats why all my retics either have a really heavy flat bowl, or i dig them into the bedding (Zuko digs so he still spills) Messy and destructive snakes!

Yes, I think I'll be investing in some ceramic dog bowls for them if I can't find the plastic ones I saw being used at Prehistoric Pets.
How about the "hey, I just took a huge great-Dane sized crap, let me smear this all over my enclosure, including the glass" thingy? That one is my fav :D

Or, 'how about i poop in my waterbowl, tip it over, then continue to smear it everywhere (Ceiling included)' Love that one. Especially if you come up to that mess to clean it, and then they proceed to think you're bringing dinner.. So you have to fight off a smelly icky snake, and probably rinse it too. So glad my current snakes aren't THAT messy.

Yes those are my favorite incidents (NOT lol). Luckily most of my snakes just make a small pile in a corner and go to the opposite end of the enclosure. Though I had 1 adult female who would always tip her bowl after she made a mess and then if I didn't clean it fast enough (within 20 minutes of discovering it), she would eventually sit/curl around/in the mess she created.
I always liked to think that when they tip the bowl of water after peeing/pooping, it was as if they were trying to wash the mess away--like flushing a toilet.

This was my Mango this morning. Nice big poop smeared in a lake of water with a dirty, hungry snake in it. So gross!
