Ontario winter vs BC winters are so different.
The Air here is frozen rather than cold and dry.
Being right on the ocean its a sharp sharp cold. I've been in ontario for winter, the temperatures are lower but still feels warmer than here .

It's the humidity that gets to you. Even here cold in the country vs the city is different -20 up north vs -10 in the city feelswarmer. Being on the coast you've got wind and humid air. But you get more snow to.

The coast is kinda cold, but inland BC winters are a joke. Half my classmates skip school when it hits -20. Seriously?? I grew up in Alberta; if you skipped school at -20 in Alberta you would only be in class for like 2 weeks. I left my winter jacket back at my mom's house because it's just a waste of space here. Winter rarely gets below -15, yet I see locals in parkas before the temperature even gets below zero. And I'm the only one here who gets slurpees in the winter :( Must be a prairie thing...

I thing you're better suited for the cold then most but it's still funny. I've gone to peoples homes without heat. They answer the door jacket, gloves, hat and it's 16-18c in the house.

Remember when snow days used to require over a foot of snow a couple inches and schools closed. Soft times we live in.

I feel the same way. Last year it was super cold but too dry for precipitation.
