BTW, Sylphie how often do you feed your Russians? Mine seems hungry constantly, basically cruising the cage all the time. I thought I was keeping the tank too warm so reduced the heat. The temps have been flucuating here outside making it difficult to stablize the temps without a thermostat.

At that size I moved mine to the adult routine, that's 2 adult mices every 2 weeks. You can try it and see if she'll be able to eat two at once (and I'm pretty sure that she'll manage it).
But they are super active species, they are resting day/two after feeding and then starts to wander until the next feeding. If she's moving a lot then she's alright, I would be more worried if one of mine would stop crusing for a longer than few days.

And that cage looks like a really good enclosure for her!

Okay thanks, I gave her a small adult mouse and she was slow to take it. She is very slow to eat anyway, doesnt constrict at all, just slowly starts eating. If I didnt know better Id say she was bored with her food..

One of mine is the same, slowly taking what I offer him, while both of my females are monsters while eating, striking at everything :D I would try to offer two small adults then and we'll see if she can manage it.

I really like Russian Rat Snake. They looks really alike to our native Mangrove Snake (Which is equally beautiful but way nastier and much more dangerous.) I wish I could have one too.

Yours is so beautiful and I like the set up too!
