wow....very very nice, I must say! I would get a pair of tanimbars if I could find some for a decent price, but it's so hard to find such nice looking ones like what you have... plus I want them to be patternless axanthic. Still on the prowl for some, though! :p
I love scrubs. Got any feeding pics?

Thanks everyone!
Looking great Anthony. I cant wait to get my hands on that little Southern. My female is pretty high contrast (compared to others that I have seen, and my male) So I think with him and my female I should be able to get some nice high contrast babies. (if he is a he)

Rachel,
I don't know if you're aware, but there are only about 100 in M. nauta in captivity (most of those are Wild Caught). Less than 20 of those were produced in captivity.
In my opinion, they are WAY underpriced. You can get WC for around US$300 and there have been about ten of them available at $400-500 each. If you can appreciate how rare they are, that is dirt cheap. There are way more Boelen's Pythons in captivity, and as you know, they go for much more.
Choosing what color/pattern phase is something that you can't really do right now. You kind of have to take what you can get. The good thing for you is, patternless axanthics are the most common.
In the future, I think the price of Morelia nauta will go UP.
For example, in the early 1990's WC Emerald Tree Boas went for $500 or more, yet in the 1970's, they went for $25 each. Now, they are coming back down, but you still can't touch one for less than $200.
If you're truly interested in working with M. nauta, I would strongly suggest that you get in soon. :D

I've been tagged several times, but only by smaller ones. My clastolepis are by far the most laid back of the bunch...they're as tame as any of other snake I own. I'm hoping to get my M. nauta tamed down before they get big enough to start causing some real pain, though. :D

You're gonna love him. If I had room to keep him and a female as adults, I'd have kept him. I'm glad your getting him, since he'll definitely have a shot at getting some action at your place. :D
Im really looking forward to getting him. How big is he now?? Is he eating well? As soon as he is ready to reproduce, he will have a chance to get a piece:)
Yea I like!@!!! I have never got to deal with any but would love the chance!

I got him at about 3 feet, and now he's about 3.5 feet. Scrubs drive me nuts with how slow they grow...in fact, my nauta are still only about 18 inches long. This guy is a typical scrub that eats whatever/whenever. I started him with f/t mice (he was taking 3-4 at a time) and then started giving him small rats about a month ago. He's really a good eater. He'll take them off of tongs or off the cage floor. He really could care less how he's fed.
