Help!!!

She's a 2yo, regular morph BP named Minnie Pearl.

Here's the story:
She was very calm when I first got her (Friday), let me immediately get her from the tank in the pet shop, and just kind of hung out. Got her home, same thing, until she took a bite out of my husband (who isn't overly fond of snakes to begin with, he has a red footed tortoise named Frank). She had been fed 5days before, but we wanted to see if maybe she was hungry again (causing the random bite, she was literally sitting in his arms and then all of a sudden got tagged his thumb). So, I got her a small rat, and she immediately ate it.
She was super active until Saturday night (fed her Friday morning), then she climbed into her log on the hot side of her tank (I keep the tank at ~88-90 on the warm side and ~76-78 on the cool--she'd been avoiding the hot side until this) and has literally not moved since. The only movement has been a single flinch this morning when I got some water on her when I sprayed her tank down (it's dry in Colorado, so I have to mist her tank to try and get the humidity to hit ~55--the damn tortoise is even harder to keep at ~70 lol).
I have a feeling I should be worried, I thought I was keeping her warm enough?
Also, she hasn't gone to the bathroom (at all) or had any water (since Saturday morning).
Any advice/help/reassurance would be greatly appreciated!

Don't worry so much! That's my best advice (coming from someone who's just as big of a worrywart). It's common practice to completely leave them alone for a minimum of a week if not two before feeding, handling, messing with in any way. She needs to settle into her new home. I know it's hard. Stress could be the reason she bit your bf. They take a while to poop sometimes and she's probably snuck out forba drink while you're sleeping. It's actually not that common to ever see them drink. It sounds like you're doing good other than a little bit of smothering with love.

Calm down.

1. ball pythons don't drink a lot of water. It's fine.

2. It takes a few days for them to digest their food. It's fine.

3. They aren't as active as corn snakes so don't expect it. Also they are nocturnal so you'll rarely see yours active.

4. Your cool end is too cool. I would increase that to the 80's. These are from Africa, not North America like corn snakes.

Added to the fact that she just ate.......and her behavior (as you describe) sounds as if she is heading for a shed cycle.

I check on my Ball Python to see if he's:

Alive
Has Water
Has pooped
Is sick or looks skinny.

The amount of things I have to do for my Ball is surprisingly limited.

As Aaron said, bump up the cool side temps to above 80. I keep my cool side at a low of about 82. Yes if you drop the cool temps down, they will utilize the warm side but at the same time, if they're not going over to the warm side then they're warm enough. In my limited experience anyways.

I've learned that patience is huge with these guys. They dont move much at all. even when held lol. Mine just likes to kick it. They also will go off food for a while. Mine went off for like 3 months before. It freaked me out but I got through it.

Just keep an eye on them, make sure the husbandry is in line. Not too hot (hot spot sounded good) and not too cold (cold side was too cold). Limit your interaction for the time being and let him settle into his home. It may take a couple weeks

As far as going to the bathroom. I've been worried too. Ive had times where its been 2 feedings that have been 2 weeks apart and I didnt see any poop until like a week after the second feeding.
