Help, my albino california king is bleeding from its vent

I recently bought a albino california king snake from repticon. Everything seemed fine while there but when i got home she musked on me. A little while later i realized she had blood coming from the vent and it seemed to be open. I am not sure what could b causing this, it may have been her last shed considering i hadn't baught her yet. If anyone has any advice let me know

Its common for California King Snakes to secrete blood from their vent when they musk. It's just a defense strategy. Mine did it a lot when they were younger. It's completely normal. Nothing to worry about.

I would just keep an eye on the vent remaining open. Doesn't sound quite normal. Make sure that the vent remains clean and free of and dried discolored material around it. Just to be safe.

My daughter's kingsnake musked all the time when it was smaller. Never had any blood. But the snake would leave its vent open and ready to release more musk; sometimes I'd swear that the snake had excreted all the musk it could and was trying to release musk its body hadn't produced yet. I was so relieved when she got to the point where she didn't want to musk any more...

If you're worried about the blood, replace his substrate with paper towels. If he's bleeding a lot, then it's an issue and it'll be clear. If it's just a little, you'll rarely see blood on the paper towels. If the former ends up to be true, go to a vet just to be safe.
