My 2012 female pied dropped her clutch yesterday morning! Yay! 5 good looking bright, white and large eggs. Prelay shed was 10/3/15 so I thought she was a little late. Incubating at 89.4f with 99% humidity on light diffuser with glazed vermiculite. I didn't weigh the clutch or candle them. No slugs. No mold. The pairing was piebald X piebald. Now comes the big wait.

Looking good AL. How long until they hatch? I love the Piebald BP's.

Thanks EL! If everything goes well and according to dates we should have pipping around late December or early Jan 2016. Haha!

Thanks Sylph, I didn't weigh the clutch bc I didn't know how long they were in the tub and I wanted to get the eggs in the incubator asap. Then, when I began to take her off the eggs and saw that she was still eggbound I knew I had to hurry. I do plan to candle them tomorrow. Just don't want to expose the temps and humidity to frequent changes.

Nice job. Keep me up dated. It would be impressive to have a snake from one of the famous Clark breeders. There was Bob Clark and now we have Albert Clark. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Jerry! Very kind of you with those words. I definitely don't think I am on Bob Clarks level yet but I am working on it. I will keep you updated on the progress and I am really happy with the five eggs so far. Haha.
I have a question. When breeding pied/het pied snakes, what percentage if any will turn out pied?

The answer you seek is 50%, but for future use here is a good morph calculator. OWALReptiles - Calculator (http://www.owalreptiles.com/genetics.php)

Update on the eggs is all positive. They all candled well with veins. There is still small areas on two of the eggs that show reduced calcified spots. Otherwise looking well rounded and full. The debris on the one egg is cypress mulch and has been there since the egg was laid. Humidity is locked at 99% and temps between 88.4f - 89.5f. No mold or fungus at day 20 and counting.

Thanks EL, I really appreciate the wishes! I am so tempted to peek into the incubator every day but then I say to myself, why disrupt the eggs unnecessarily and throw off the humidity and temps. The press and seal really does help with the humidity.
That is my next snake. I love the looks of them! Grats on the eggs :)

Pieds are great. A real plus in the recessive gene mutation. Hoping all these guys and girls will hatch out heathy and raring to go. Pogie, you are welcome to consider picking up one or two from me!

Great that they are developing well! Their mom is beauty, I don't like all piebalds, but she's definitely nice looking one! <3

Thanks Sylph, and she has really been through alot with the egg laying and all. This picture doesn't do her justice bc she is truly a stunning pied female who was raised by Garrick Demeyer. I had posted a pic of her previously locked with the male pied and she looks amazing in that photo. I will try and find it and bring it back up. Thanks however for the compliment. She was also off food for like 4 months! She now has started back feeding.
