I'm planning the enclosures for when my retics reach adulthood, and I'm not sure what would be better for them: a swinging door or a sliding glass door for a pvc viv. I would love to hear advice from other retic keepers.

My female retic is a bit of a pusher and is very, very smart. She has escaped once from her tub already. If there is a weakness in security she will find it and muscle her way through it. My male retic isn't as bright. He just slams his face against the tub when he thinks food is coming. :D

I prefer sliding doors with a lock for retics, it comes in pretty handy when the snake does not want to go back inside (Close it bit by bit). Also you don't have to open it fully to feed them, and you can not bump into the open door. The one enclosure i have used with a swinging door, had a adult dwarf retic in it. She would push on the inside, being pretty heavy and strong (Adult dwarf retic) this was rather annoying. Don't even want to think about a even larger snake hanging on/pushing against a swinging door.. The only benefit it has was that it was quicker to fully open.

Yup agree with Tsubaki fully here, sliding glass doors would be way more convenient, sturdy, and allow you more control.

Sliding doors for all of my snakes, including 3 retics.
