Maybe my Google-fu is not working, but I'm trying to find out where this whole constrictor ban is going. I know FWS had a certain time period to appeal the judge's decision to allow transport for USARK members prior to a specific date. Have we passed that date? Do we know anything about further decisions (to overturn completely?)?

Thanks in advance...

I'm curious on where all the "ban together as a community" giant keepers went.

I'd like to know where that whole legislation lies too. Would be interesting to see if there was an appeal or not.

As of 9/23, this is the latest news:

The Court has entered a briefing schedule in FWS' appeal.
Government brief due November 2
USARK opposition due December 2
Government reply due December 16
Final briefs due January 6
Following submission of the final briefs, the Court will schedule oral argument, although there is not a set deadline for this action. USARK will keep you posted as updates become available. We appreciate your continued support as we battle overreaching legislation on the local, state and federal fronts.

Just checking out the USARK.org website is the fastest way to get information on it. They are still asking for donations for the Reptile Defense Fund by the way.

Ah..many thanks! I tried to get on USARK.org earlier, but either my internet was sketchy, or USARK may may have been temp down(?), so I didn't check there.

Thanks Psycho!

Yeah I hadn't heard anything from my newsletters in a few months, but maybe I missed a few, so I was wondering too.

Will they have the Reptile Defense Fund indefinitely, or will it close at a certain date? I've been donating extra money on my online orders for companies that offer that, and I'd like to donate $10-20 here and there directly to them if they'll have it open for awhile longer (like at least until spring).
