I went to an expo today, did not find any of the snake species i was looking for. It was 90% Cornsnakes and ballpythons, the other 10% were a few boa's 1 childrens python and 1 Yellow ratsnake. Did see alot of nice spiders, ended up taking one home. Meet my new spider, she's a Brachypelma Angustum. Not very small, not quite an adult yet either. She's a bit of a grump, but not aggressive. I'm very happy with her :D

And i bought some random stuff, spare thermostat some heat-mats etc. And of-course some spider-food. Noticed i accidentally got 2 different species, thought it was pretty cool to see :D I keep my hoppers in a nice home, provide them with food and water. The spiders take a long time to actually eat all of them, and some gut loading cant hurt.. Also think it's sad to let them die of hunger/thirst.

I think I would get one if my old lady would even come close to allowing it hahaha. I love that red colored hair on her and definitely the skull background

Nothing at all wrong with keeping your feeders well fed and watered. Crickets for my toads stay in something like that and I give them that water crystal stuff and some dog food. Keep up us updated on your new critter!

Thx :D she build a shelter under the bark on the left side, made a flap of web over it almost like a trap door. Very active little spider, well... 'little'..

Today i got to test my reflexes with this one!! Opened her tub to clean/fill the water dish, she was sitting in plain sight, acting a bit skittish.. In a split second she decided to bolt away like her *** was on fire! Managed to block her and grab her before she got too close to the edge. She is FAST, and now she seems a bit cross with me and won't come out from under her bark. :D

She hangs out like this most of the day, thought it looks pretty cool. Reminds me of a trapdoor spider.

So cool! That's a very natural looking hide. Do you handle this one? I appreciate spiders from a distance hahaha.

I do not handle my spiders, when they have to be taken out (which i try to do only when absolute necessary) I gently catch them in a little box, i get a horrible horrible rash from the hairs.. I react very allergic to a lot of insects, do not intend to test out what happens with a spiderbite. This one also threatens when you get close, my Pulchripes is a bit friendlier though.

Great looking T! They're addictive, aren't they? I just got two new ones for my birthday yesterday.
