I don't feed pellets and really don't see the point.

I have a dubia roach colony for my beardies. My guys will also get crickets, silkworms, hornworms, wax, butter, and superworms. Mainly they get roaches with the others fed when I'm feeling generous...They also get fresh foods their favorites being yellow squash, collards, mustard, and bok choy. The baby gets mostly insects and some greens. The adult gets mostly greens and some insects. They also get vitamin d/calcium dust on their food.

Agreed, everything you feed them, whether insect or plant, should be fresh. Pellets mean they require a great deal of moisture to process/digest
