Hello All. I'm going up to the poconos tomorrow morning to hunt for the northern copperhead. Anybody have any tips on the best areas this specie of snake is found. I'm going to be in the Delaware water gap area. If
You have any tips that will help me succeed in this hunt I would greatly appreciate it. Please comment your opinions!!! And by hunt I mean catch and release.

Dunno about further up north, but our local copperheads are fond of rocky crevices, lumber piles, fall leaves, and thick grass.

They still like crevices up north, too. I've even seen them in crevices on the sides of completely vertical, straight down mountains

Well I dont know how this helps for you all in the north, but I usually find mine (southerns) under logs in heavily forested areas.
