A hypo Burmese python. Honestly never been a big fan of plain Burmese pythons. Their pattern and coloration is rather drab but the look of a hypo is stunning. Only problem is I really don't want another snake that's going to get 15+ feet.....sigh....got some deciding to do

Stunning animal M. I can see where you'd be tempted. What about a dwarf or half dwarf?

Dwarf burms. Look nicer IMO, get around 6 ft. HOWEVER, they seem to have a bad rep. One day I'm planning on getting one to put with my SD retic, if I ever find another one in my state.

Dwarff burms have a bad rep? For what? Agression?

I saw that as well. Dwarf species seem to be more aggressive than the normal sized variants. "Little Man Syndrome"

Then a dwarf it is. I'll need to find one and I'm sure with the new federal laws regarding Burmese that will be really easy....not to hijack my own thread but I have also discovered an unholy hybrid that I really like...it is a three python mix of ball, blood and Angolan called super angry ball

I saw a pair of young dwarf burms not to long ago and they were no worse than normal burm hatchlings to be honest. I think it just more people are breeding these in captivity now in bigger numbers, so we're starting to see more calmer animals appearing now

This girl is friendly and loves climbing all over me. She's a Super Dwarf Retic. No regrets at all. Looking for a male now.

I'd suggest if you can find a half dwarf burmese to go that route. They're abou the same size as pure dwarves; but have better attitudes(every bit of info suggest they're satan snakes) and come in the various paint jobs.

Nah, great minds just think alike ;) I think I saw someone on the Nation doing it too. But finding a half dwarf is probably a good idea so that you don't have too much of an attitude.

I know of a few people that want to make them; but I've come up with the best name so far. Just need Paul Spurlock to make some babies with the dwarves he's got and ill be on the way to making them. Fortunately the hybrids are really hard to hit on so there maybe hope for me. Are there dwarf Burms in your state Adrian? The half dwarves do help with the attitude, I really don't care if they were to want to kill me they only get 7-8 feet; but also the pure dwarves are notoriously hard to breed.
