So my BP is currently on a feeding strike for a couple weeks but it's got me thinking whether or not I'm doing the right thing. What size/how often should I be feeding an 1100g 1yr old BP?

I'd think a small rat every 7-10 days would be good an 1100g yearling BP.

I've been feeding a small rat every week give or take a few days. He has just refused the last 3 weeks. He is interested to check it out but doesn't strike. Generally been 6-9days and he only started refusing now.

They'll do that from time to time. As long as your husbandry is on point, and he's not losing much weight, I wouldn't worry at all.

A small rat every 1-2 weeks, 1 week if it's a year, and 2 weeks if it's 2+ years. Many people continue feeding weekly throughout life, but some do biweekly and with my individual that's the schedule that works best.

Imo no rodent-eating snake should eat any more often than every 7 days.

Switch to two week intervals Scott. All of the adult males here no more frequent than that.

I also feed 80 -100 gram rats only to my males.

Right now he has refused the past 3 weeks. I'll keep trying weekly until he eats then go to 2 week schedule.

Just goto a 2 week schedule now. He'll be fine.
