So today my daughter and I went to the narb reptile show in Anaheim and we picked up a lil hognose and a new baby lavender albino retic. He's a gorgeous snake and while I never thought I would own a retic we now have two. Also I got to meet Brian Barczyk. He's a cool guy and honestly when we moved out of state we got rid of our reptiles. Watching his videos actually got my kids and I passionate about snakes and reptiles again to the point where we are today. If we hadn't started watching his youtube videos years ago none of this would have happened so it was cool to meet him

Great pickups. Wish I could've been at the show. California rules! Best of luck with hoggie and retic and the whole family.

I think Brian is a top notch snake keeper and breeder, but imo he's an awful keeper of lizards.

It's funny, I was watching one of his old videos and he was talking about the snake that really made him his initial fortune was the pin stripe ball python which initially sold for $30,000 each. Now listening to him talk yesterday he basically stated he is scaling waaay back and walking away from a lot of this to focus on travelling for network nature programming, not internet tv. He couldn't comment on it further.

But back to the retics....Jay from Prehistoric Pets had so many amazing retic morphs that I had never seen or heard of. There was this amazing all black one with a silver head and tiny white diamonds down each side....$8000 for a one of a kind snake. Lucky I'm not rich or I would have attacked that booth like a 9 year old girl at the height of the beanie baby craze, "I'll take this one..and that one..and that one...oh and this one too...."

I know! i spent most of the show at the prehistoric booth, i feel really lucky Ive gotten to work their as much as i have. I noticed that the bhb booth was very small, but it seems like he has a lot of stuff planned for the future.
