Hey, my boa is still pretty small id say a little close to a year old hes probably about almost 3 feet long and he has a decent amount of girth on him. Today i decided to switch from 2 large mice to 1 medium sized rat. It was a little bit bigger than the girth of his body but i decided to feed him it anyway. He killed it right away and ate it in fairly quick. After i picked him up to be put back in his cage i noticed that i could see the bulge of the rat in him. Im now just a little worried that he will regurgitate. If he was to do that how soon would he? Im not sure if he will he seems fine hes just hanging out in his hide and i fed him a good 5 hours ago.

A bulge is perfectly normal after feeding; he will be fine and shouldn't regurgitate as long as you aren't trying to handle him and let him digest the larger meal.

You don't generally want to see a bulge. A small one without scale separation is ok, though.

You don't want a big bulge often, but just once should be ok, I just wouldn't do it all the time. That said, Colombians generally have fairly strong digestive systems compared to the other boa constrictors, so as long as you leave it alone it should be fine. I wouldn't handle it at all for 3-4 days, or until the bulge is gone if it takes longer than that.
