Just realized how much Azzy has grown since January..
2 photo of january, her on my hand and in just the corner of her tank.
and 2 newer, on my hand, and too big for the whole end of the tank!
(tank is really long, but just got a new one same length but wider. making a lid currently)

Whoa! Gorgeous girl! I've always wanted a boa constrictor, they seem like great animals from what I've heard, but I'd have a better chance of winning the Indie 500 on a tricycle than I would getting a boa. My mom is a huge snake-o-phobe. Nothing bigger than a subway sandwich for me :')

She is gorgeous, maybe later on you can get a boa. Just gotta be prepard for 10-40 years of a large snake lol

Trust me, I'm definitely going to get a boa when I can. I just have a year left until I graduate and then I'm gone like the wind. And that's one thing I never have a problem with, commitment. It's actually why I have a hard time with keeping rodents as pets, they die too quickly. For me, the longer the better :)

Wow Man, what are you feeding that beast?! She's a big beautiful girl. How large is her tank?

I just bumped her to Large rats, she took her first large last tuesday, see how she deals with it :) It took her less than 3 minutes to down the thing.

She is currently in a 4 foot x 18" x 2 foot. so it's long but not as wide as I'd like. Got a nice 4 x 2 x 2, just making a lid, should work until the end of the year :)

Took her out for a little bit the other day.

PS. shes a bit of a perve. she loves to hold onto my strap, or sit IN my shirts..

She's looking good, a bit over 4' now?
She's not a perv, just wants to hold onto something with her tail to feel secure. My female boa (5'+, back in college) usually had her tail down my back and through a belt loop. Our little ones now are barely big enough to curl around necks, a long way to grow to reach the belt loops. lol.

Found out shes 100% het Kahl
She would make a great breeder. also, the skull may be genetic, her grandmother has the same spot ;)
maybe one day you could have your own rebel boa hahaha

Get a juvenile boa, and tell your mom its a "dwarf boa." By the time your white lie is unveiled, you'll be long gone. ;)

PS: I realize that was an old post, but I just had to make that comment.

And ManSlaughter, that is nice looking boa!

Oh I've thought of that, but she's not stupid. She researches them before she approves anything. I might be able to get one next year, maybe year after that depending. I'm moving out of state for college to be with rarely-seen family, and a boa will definitely be with me before 2018 I'm hoping. I'm always saying "the next one will be the last for a while", and it works until I get on this site and start looking at what others have. I don't think there's a single snake I don't want to have, it's just how much I want it and what I can take care of at any given time, although a boa has definitely been on my need list for a few years.

Makes perfect sense, and kudos to you for being patient!

Yeah, it's kinda just how I do things though. It's taken me three years to get the king snake I'm planning on getting here in March. I've already got everything, just gotta build the stand and that's something I'm gonna have to twist my arm to do. Hopefully though it won't take me three years this time, and if it happens you all will know.
