I was wondering if anyones knows the average lifespan for red-eyes. I have seen so many different ones from 2-4 years up to 10 years and I am curious as to what is the most accurate (I know not all will live the same length of time).

Thanks

Matt

Hi,
My first tree frog was a red eye, I had him nearly 4 year's he developed a nasty infection and passed away suddenly, for a 52 y/o guy I nearly cried.. bigg mush of a guy.
I called mine Kermit cause he's my favorite muppet
here's a pic in his prime I hope he's in froggy heaven.

I now keep numerous grays and peacock frogs (big Eye's) and a couple Ugandi Tree frogs no babies just lots of croaking..
They Greys and Bigeyes are very active during daylight hours,
and some of the bigeyes's are almost as pretty as the red-eyes
Frogs are a lot of work and kind of a pain to feed..
but I like mine alot
