Got my first large snake two weeks ago today. He is an albino Burm. Also he is VERY cage aggressive (fine once hes out) the previous owner knew nothing of hook training. What can i expect and what can i do for the cage aggression, If i'm being totally honest i'm actually quite nervous of him just yet as hes 9ft and my first large animal (im sure we will warm up to each other eventually, so its just the initial nervousness). Any suggestions?

Be careful is what i want to advise, keep trying to hook train him. Don't really see why you would pick a known cage aggressive 9foot python as your first large snake? They sometimes go through puberty as well, could get even more aggressive.

Exactly this. But since you already have it. Be patient. Keep working on it. It can go either way. The snake could caln or it could stay the same.

Thanks everyone. Ill stay persistent and respectful, yet cautious. He just shed today, so ill wait 3 days before i attempt a second handling session.

There's no need to wait a specific amount of time after a shed. Though if the animal was defensive before that could very well be why. They feel very vulnerable when they're shedding.

Handled him today no problems. He was just stressed because he was picked up and moved somewhere he wasn't used too. Trying to hook train him, is going well so far. Excited to see him as an adult!
