No URLs in a post?

Hi, I just posted a thread that took me a lot of time and effort to pull together, and I have a couple of URLs to cite but it won't let me. It says that it caps the URLs in a new post, although it won't even let me post one? If a technical person could help me with this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

You need a minimum number of posts before the forum will let you post URLs, I think the minimum is five.
