I've got quite a few years ahead of me before I can even begin to think about breeding my sunglow, but I was having some fun on BHB's boa constrictor genetics wizard and got to thinking of the possibilities. I haven't really been interested in breeding, and I may still not end up breeding my new girl when she comes of age, but considering what she could make, provided she proves out, is kinda fun. As it is, snows have actually become affordable for me (albeit with a bit of saving up) so making my own isn't as important, but seeing those white strings in goo could be an interesting experience.

So, basically these are just a few musings I've been thinking over and that I've had trouble finding information on.

So, onto the questions:
If I were to breed my female sunglow (poss) het anery, assuming she's been proven, to another sunglow het anery, according to the genetics wizard I'd get snows that are 33% super hypo, regular snows, Kahl albinos 33% super hypo poss het anery, and regular Kahls poss het anery. My question is, is there a way to tell which snows and albinos would be the poss super hypos, or would I have to label all of them as poss super hypos? I'm assuming that if you can't tell which ones are the poss super hypos visually, they would all have to proven as super hypos through breeding.

Also, what's the best way to price the poss super hypo babies? I tried googling to see other breeders' prices but couldn't find any. This could either be due to lack of babies currently available, or lack of any being produced I suppose.

I read somewhere that when telling moonglows vs. snows the moonglows should have the bowties what with the presence of the hypo gene and that that's the most reliable way to tell them apart. Is this accurate?

I have not bred boas as of yet but I do know their genetics and can help with the pricing ideas.

First, super hypos and hypos look similar. You'll have to label them as poss super hypo and sell them as such.

I am unsure if that's an accurate way to tell moonglows and snows apart. Most likely wait a couple sheds and the colour will tell you.

As for pricing, when it comes down to it, look at classified ads. Facebook or kingsnake/fauna would be the places to go.

I did realize they were similar-looking, it's unfortunate I wouldn't be able to tell the posses from the nons, though. Does that mean I'd have to price them like a normal snow or albino due to the extreme uncertainty? I have a basic idea of what to charge for regular snows and Kahls I just don't know how the possibility of being super hypo would affect those prices, if at all.

You would price them as such:

Sunglow poss super sunglow.

I am unsure of the price difference but you will be able to tell the sunglows, poss super sunglows, from just regular albinos. Same as moonglows and super moonglows.
