I know it is 2 months away, but I plan.
I am visiting the NARBC Convention in Tinley Park, IL this October to get a better idea of what is out there in person.
While I have been doing some research for a while now, I do not think I will be getting a snake for some time after the move. I need to finish repairs and settling before taking on something else.

With that in mind, I understand that while understandably they care deeply about reptiles, these guys are running a business.
Are there any nuances to visiting a Reptile Convention that I should be aware of?
Probably over concerned, but no point in creating waves if I do not have to.

Honestly...take cash just in case.

Don't ask to hold anything you don't plan on buying, but be open to handling if a vender iffers. (Be aware, this is a sales trick lol. They will offertoblet you hold something in hopes you will buy it).

Be honest. Tell them you aren't looking right now but that you are interested and then just talk to them. However if someone comes by to spend money, you can step away and return later when their table isn't busy to continue the conversation.

Honestly, I have not met a surely, impatient vender yet. Most are very nice and extremely helpful. =)

All cash sales, huh? I'll keep that in mind later then. Thank you.

No. They will take cards. But cash helps you from spending too much as well as talk venders down. This goes for supply venders too, not just animals. I got 2 really nice exoterras for 100$ when normally they are 75$ a piece. =)

Cash has a voice in places like that.

(Also how I got a 250$ snake for 180$)
