View Full Version : New Snake.
I was bad and went to the reptile expo today. I just can't have an empty enclosure can I? I've been interested in stepping up in size with my next snake. Girthy but manageable. I saw a table with boas and the ladies had the father of some of the baby BCIs out. I was so impressed by his size, patterns/colors and temperament that I purchased one of his offspring. I love how confident and calm this little salmon colored guy is and I am excited to see him reach his full size. No name yet.

Very nice! I got my first boa a few months ago. He's awesome so far. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.

Gratz on the new beauty, Boa's are about the best handling snakes I've ever encountered. You'll certainly enjoy that one.

Awww man I want a salmon BCI and you're not helping!! But I can't afford to house one now or an adult for that matter. It will have to wait awhile before I could get one. I'll have to live vicariously through you.
Oh yeah, nice snake.
Thanks everyone!!!! I'll post an update later after a few feedings and when I set up his enclosure.

Nice pickup! Seems very calm, too.
As an aside, I'm surprised someone took a breeder to a show. All sorts of risks there, especially if there is no quarantine when he's returned home.
Thanks again everyone. I'm working on setting his home up. My AC system has been out of commission so my apartment is a nice 83 degrees. Too hot for me but I don't think the snakes are complaining. When I open his enclosure he acts like I'm about to feed him but nothing a hook can't fix! Love how calm and slow he is!
