Had a bit of a rarity today here in N.Ireland the sun came out lol. So with Daisy and Wilson being in shed and not wanting to be distributed at the moment we got Jenny out for some pics

We had an idea this girl may get big because of her genetics, her mom was 18ft+ the last time she was measured which was about a year after Jenny was born. And her dad was just over 16ft and still growing if my memory serves me well. So we've just been bringing her on at a nice steady pace as we've no wish to breed her at any stage, she's just our big pet :)

Thank you, and you'll find that most keepers of large snakes have no fear of them but they do have an awful lot of respect for them ;)

These do come in dwarf and super dwarf, although they carry a pretty heavy price tag :(

If im not mistaken the highest % of sd for the purple sunfire albino is either 50 or 75%. Is that right?

The last time I saw a purple SD I asked the guy the % and he told me it was 67%. Which is pretty good if you get a male and don't go mad when feeding it, it should stay a reasonable size

At a guess if you feed him right I'd hazard a guess at around 10ft absolute max

Just make sure you get it from a real good breeder, I've heard of some people buying so-called SD retic morphs. Only to have 8fters sitting in vivs at a year old. I'm sure Millertime would know someone your side of the pond who specialises in SD retics :)

Ya for sure. I have other things I want to cross of my list first like the male Rufous Beaked snake my buddy just hatched and a few others. Then Its a matter of tracking down or building an enclosure and Ill very likely end yp wiht one of those beauties as well.

They are a beautiful snake to keep, I sold three of my burms to make room for this girl but to me she was worth it. Good luck to you for whenever you decide to get one. But as I said I'm sure Kyle or one of the other guys on the forum will know of someone who does SD morphs :)

You can get albino SDs in 87.5% now but they're NOT cheap. Most common are 50% or 62.5%.

If you go on to Vital Exotics website they have a few up for sale but you may get them cheaper off a private breeder. If your on Facebook your best bet would be to keep an eye out on Retic Nation

Mate I would definitely check private breeders I'm getting told prices of £500 to £600 depending on the % of SD, and this from guys who are well trusted in the UK

I got offered a pair of lavenders 50% SD for £500 off guy with a very good reputation, I'm not rubbing your nose in it mate I'm just saying maybe if you shop around you will get what you want ;)

Ya but if I do an international order then the savings is offset by the shipping cost and import permits.
Theyre on my list just not the very top. once they reach the top Ill look into breeders and pricing a little more seriously.
