View Full Version : Is this a kingsnake?
Isn't this a kingsnake? I see it for sale but it was being called a corn snake. I looked it up and to me it looks just like a Lampropeltis mexicana mexicana. At least that's what the internet calls them lol. I'm pretty sure it's not a corn snake. I held it and it seemed nice enough and it was pretty. I didn't take this photo and I know it's hard to see. But even by this photo it just don't "look" like a corn.

It's hard to tell in the pic but it kinda resembles a corn to me. It could also be a hybrid.

Huh, to me it seems like hybrid or king... I've seen a lot of corns, and this one is... just not right.

thayeri for sure! Awesome snake =)
I thought about getting it even though I figured it wasn't a corn. It's just so pretty. But I know nothing about this type of snake. He was a bit flighty but not trying to bite what so ever. He was being offered for $60. Good size too. But anyway thank you for the opinions :) I thought maybe it was just me lol. I may have to read up on them now. Good lord I gotta stay away from the internet and snakes rotfl.

It does look like a thayeri king, though the pattern is a bit odd compared to most I've seen. Better pics would help... Care wise they're not much different than corns, $60 is a decent price, particularly for one that (apparent) size.
