How old are they?
How much do they weigh?
How long have you been keeping them together?
Have you tried a short cooling period for the male?

are you sure they are opposite sexes?

Yes there's one male 3 females. Also I have tried the cooling thing. I've kept them together for about a month now. I'm not sure of the ages of 2 of them but I believe the other 2 are over one year old. I don't know the weight, but their very fat.

Are the girls bigger then the boy?
Sometimes the males can be a little intimidated by larger females. And sometimes they just wont start breeding until they are good and ready ;)
What we have used in the past is to set the male up all on his own, leave him for about 2 weeks to get used to his cage. Then introduce one female at a time. Try with the smallest one you have. This may help if he is a little shy.
If they have only been together for about a month how do you know that they are not breeding? If the male is gentile you may not see any marks on the females, and if he waited a while before getting frisky, you may not see any eggs for a month or so.
Hope this helps,
Matt.

I had them together for about 4 months move him out to see if the girls were gravid, had him by himself for about 4 weeks, then put him back in with the girls agian. I'll try taking him out agian and then putting the girls in with him, and see what happens. Maybe they have bred and I haven't noticed but I don't think the have because the girls show no signs of being gravid. Well I guess I'll just have to wait some more.
I'll start by saying this.. I am not a gecko guy so my knowledge is very restricted .. although from what I can read, there is something that has caugh my eye..
"beleive them to be over a year.. and have not weighed them" .. This is risky .. why? Because according to you .. they were together 4 month .. then apart for 4 weeks .. then together for a month.. (time period of 6 month since introduction)
Meaning that you introduced a maled with 6 month old females..
In my oppinion you should be happy they did not breed.. You could of lost a female very easilly.
Just my thoughts on the matter, I may be wrong..

no no the 2 girls are older then that. As I said over a year. I'm not too sure how old they were when I got them I know one had been bred before. I have not weighed them because I don't have access to a scale. Seriouly I'd have to pay like 50 bucks just to weigh them at the vet. I did that when I got them, but that as you can tell was a while ago I don't remember. I know not to breed them before their at least a year old or so. The other 2 near as I can remember/guess were about 4/6 months when I got them, and I introduced them about 4/5months after I got them. So I guess the other 2 would be around 2 years or so. I'm not good with remember how old my animals are, only knowing that it's safe to breed or not. Hope I have not confused anyone or anything.

I don't have any advice, but just wanted to note that you can pick up a postal scale from from Staples for a fairly reasonable price ($50-60)... I think that it would definitely be a worthwhile investment... I don't know how I did without mine, I use it all the time to keep track of how everyone is doing :)

Are you sure your male is a male? If you have a proven breeder female my suspician is that you might need to double check the sex of the male. I have a female that also appears to have hemipenes and so I thought she was male at first. Check to see how pronounced the pores are. Take a picture if you can. Let us know how it goes.

The pores are very pronounced. Also I'm in a small town to get to a staples it's like a 2 hour drive. Man my town sucks!! Anyway, I've been looking to find someone who's going and can try and find me one. so far no luck. Also I'll try to get a pic not sure if I can though.

Hey Rebecca,
Just a thought, if your male is just reaching a year he may not have bred them the first time you had them together. So maybe he did this time but you didnt notice (sometimes they are gentile). I would try putting him into his own cage and leave him for a while. Even try and keep handling down as much as possible.
Also how can you tell that your females are not gravid? We have several that are so large you cant get a clear view of the eggs through their bellies. I know with many of ours you can clearly see them, but with big girls it can be hard to tell.
Best of luck,
Matt.
