Hello all, I finally managed to set up a vet appointment for my Rudi. I am just curious as to how others transport their monitors. Oliver is a little over 4ft and though he is a gentle beast most days I'm sure he will turn into a squirming and clawing demon when he realizes our motives don't point to a good day for him. I was thinking on putting him into a pillow case, then putting him into a cat/dog crate. The distance is short, not more then 15min. Also, how the hell are we going to pry his mouth open for this exam!? My concern has been mouth rot for the longest time and I am just real curious as to how that is going to go down. :O_o: the appointment is at 11am tomarrow.
How did you do? I usually transport mine in a cardboard box with a blanket or something in there for cushioning.

Don't put him in a pillowcase. I would put him in an appropriately sized plastic tote or dog carrier with blankets.
The vet will have the tools needed to open his mouth. You'll have to hold onto the monitor though. Wear long sleeves and gloves as you most likely will be clawed and you might get bit.

My thoughts exactly.
