I finally got my new cage in and have spent the last few days getting things set up. This is my Cal King's adult enclosure. Tonight I got the last supplies and went ahead and moved her over. It's an AP T3 cage. She has about 5 1/2 hides including one humid hide [that needs upgraded soon]. The heat mat and thermostat have been pretty steady and they've been running over 24 hours now. I took everyone's advice and got the Hydrofarm thermostat to go with an Ultratherm heat mat since everyone seems to praise those two. The temperature has already proven much more steady than my previous set up. I also upgraded from newspaper to aspen and bought a bunch of new, larger hides. She's been very curious for weeks now, coming out and watching me whenever I'm around, so I think the timing was perfect. Eir is now 59g and just shy of 24" long, for anyone keeping track. She celebrates a year old in a month or two [I was told she was 1-2 months when I got her in September].

Here are some pictures of her old set up and her new set up. She's exploring every inch and I think she's really going to love the fact that the cats can't get at her any more, the sides and top are opaque!

Very nice upgrade Lefitte. I'm sure Eir will be very comfortable in her new digs. I need to order a couple of T-10's myself.

Thanks! I'm very very pleased so far. She's been out exploring even more today even though I couldn't find her this morning. I checked each hide and all lumps of substrate then had to recheck everything. She wedged herself between a half log hide, a cave, and under a branch and was not very happy that I was disturbing her. I think the new hides are on the big side for her [she still has her old ones] but they're all the next size up. She has plenty of options.

Thanks! She seems to like it. She ate the other day and hasn't been out much since like usual. I'm now planning for my Brazilian Rainbow Boa. A similar set up will be that ones home as well.
