Is My New Snake Underweight?

Hey everyone,

So I just got my first snake a few weeks ago, he is ~3 foot Grey Banded Kingsnake, former owner says he is about 7 years old. Was regularly feeding on one rat pup a week with former owner, and I am wondering if I should be feeding him more per feeding/more frequently? I know he is not scarily underweight or anything, but you can see an indentation where his spine is (see attached pics for what I am talking about)

Yes! I agree with EL that he looks healthy. The weight will be a determining factor in what size meal he should have. 10 - 15% average.
